- Panna
Tiger Reserve is just 25 km from Khajuraho-a mere half an hour drive.
- Tiger
sighting is always a matter of chance but regular sightings are reported.
- Cheetal,
Sambar, Nilgai, Chinkara, Chowsingha, Langoor, Wildboar, Jackal, are
frequently sighted.
- Gorges
and falls along the course of the Ken river in the Reserve are bewholding.
- Dynamic
dry deciduous forest undergoes dramatic change from lush green in monsoon
to desolate dry grey in summer.
- Relics
of Gondwana period (rule of the tribal people of Central India) are
scattered all over the Reserve.
- Besides
the wildlife watchers (around core area + Ken Ghariyal Sanctuary 20,000 annually), Panna gets visitors (around 35000
annually) who exclusively visit the famous Pandav Fall.

Transport :
- Reserve
does not have any transport facility for the visitors.
- Four
wheel drive petrol vehicle is best for wildlife watching and going around
the Reserve. Rough terrain, un-metalled roads, steep inclines are
difficult for other vehicles.
- Private
vehicles can be hired at Khajuraho/Panna, and at all Tourisim gates of Core
& Buffer.
- Diesel
jeep/station wagon/mini-bus up to 5 year old is allowed.
- Tiger Reserve has very good tourist accommodation at Raneh fall. They are allotted on first come-first-serve basis and on the condition of availability. Reservation is done by the Field Director.

The fee mentioned in above is just for entry permit. The vehicle charges for registered tourist vehicle is payable separately to the owner of the vehicle before the trip. Guide fee is also not included in (1, 3 and 4) above, which is payable separately to the guide and vehicle. |
| Where entry of auto-rickshaw is permitted by the officer in-charge of the protected area, the entry fee for an auto- rickshaw shall be two times the rate of two-wheelers. | ||
| Drivers and guides/naturalists shall be counted in the numbers of passengers allowed in a vehicle. | ||
| If a person pays full entry fee for a round by vehicle he shall not be charged anything extra for visiting Pandav and Raneh falls in Panna Tiger Reserve on foot or by vehicle. | ||
|
It shall be compulsory to keep the identity proofs of all the visitors listed in the entry permit. Entry permit will be cancelled if the identities of the persons mentioned in it cannot be ascertained. |
||
| Visitors are permitted to use their still or video cameras free of cost during such fixed round. |

- Early
mornings and late afternoons are best suited for visiting the forests and
sighting of animals.
- Small
groups are ideal. While going inside the forest, taking a guide is
compulsory.
- Carry
drinking water
- Do
not disturb or tease animals. Respect animals and their habitats.
- Drive
slowly (20 km/hr) and do not blow horn. In the forest , animals have the right
of way.
- Refrain
from smoking or lighting of fire.
- Do
not carry any firearms.
- Radio
and tape recorders are better left behind. Enjoy the music of the forest.
- Use
the designated dustbins for throwing waste Carrying plastics and other
non-degradable material is prohibited.
- Do
not get out of vehicle at places other than the designated area.
- Visitors
are advised to avoid using perfumes and scented oils as these might
attract honey bees.
- Please
consult your guide for what to see when and where.
- Park
Management has the right to close the Reserve any time for management
objectives.
- Offences
in the Park are dealt in accordance with Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972.
